Set in Ullswater in the Lake District National Park, the little-known holiday park scooped first place thanks to its unique.
While the site has been welcoming guests since 1963, it’s undergone a hefty transformation in the last 60 years.
The old camping field is now an award-winning sustainable holiday park with a range of accommodation options including a self-catering holiday cottage,Glamping Cabins, timber Camping Pods, underground Glamping Burrows, and carbon-positive Gingerbread Houses.
There are also all-weather tent pitches and hard-standing pitches for caravans and motorhomes.

The Quiet Bar has been dubbed “the best bar in Britain” and is set inside a traditional Cumbrian Long barn style with a selection of cosy chairs and tables and a log fire.
It also hosts live music events and has its own locally brewed beer too.
There’s also a separate children’s playroom, which is adjacent to the bar and includes a football table, an airtable, and a pool table.
Holidaymakers will also be treated to views of Ullswater Lake too.
Other facilities include a dog, boot, and bike washroom, a laundry room, and a book exchange library.
Despite having everything a holidaymaker might need, there are plenty of local attractions in the nearby area including Aira Force Waterfalls and Lowther Castle & Gardens.
Daniel Holder, Managing Director of The Quiet Site said: “We are over the moon to have been awarded this most prestigous recognition by VisitEngland.
