WICKLOW County Council has granted planning permission for a Tourism Glamping Centre at Burgage Moyle, Blessington, that includes five-detached glamping pods.
he applicants for the Tourism Glamping Centre are Pat and Theresa Phibbs, who also sought permission for a shared kitchen, guest bathroom facilities, public accessible WC along with 3nr Camper Van serviced bays, new entrance, access road, car parking and onsite treatment system with percolation area along with all associated site development and facilitating works.
The site is along and accessed by the Local Road 18362-1 which adjoins the N81.
Councillors Gerry O’Neill and Patsy Glennon both submitted representations to the planning authority in support of the development.
In granting permission, Wicklow County Council also included 14 different conditions. Noise level arising from the development shall not exceed 55 dB(A) Leq (1 hour) with a maximum peak of 65 dB(A) between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday to Sunday inclusive, when measured at the nearest residential dwelling. At all other times the noise level shall not exceed 45 dB(A) Leq (1 hour) measured at the same locations. No pure tones should be audible at any time.
