Best things to do in Hatta
Hatta Heritage Village
The Hatta Heritage Village offers a glimpse into the exclave’s past with a reconstruction of a traditional town, complete with a defence tower and houses built from sandstone, fringes, stones and palm trees. The area is also home to an old mosque and a museum which houses traditional furniture, artefacts, musical instruments, traditional clothing and weapons used by locals who once inhabited these areas.
Hatta Wadi Hub
Hatta Wadi Hub is an adventurer’s dream. Built to cater to every outdoorsy passion, the hub organises several activities, from downhill carting, zorbing and axe throwing to horse riding and paragliding. One of Hatta’s main draws are its 32.6km of well-marked hiking routes, which cater to several different abilities and lengths. One of its most popular takes hikers up to the Hollywood-esque Hatta sign, which, in September, was awarded the Guinness World Record for the world’s tallest landmark sign. The Hatta mountains are also home to several mountain bike trails. Again, the trails are well signposted, and bikes can be rented on site.
Ariel Adventure Park
New for this season at Hatta Wadi Hub is the Ariel Adventure Park. Spread over 39 platforms, the new attraction offers a high ropes course, as well as a giant swing and free fall, 45 degree zip line and a leap of faith.
