Located close to Chicago in Caledonia, Wisconsin, Jellystone Park Camp-Resort offers a unique blend of outdoor excitement and cozy accommodations, making it an ideal getaway for families. From luxurious glamping cabins to traditional tent sites, Jellystone Park provides a variety of options.

“We have so many ways to stay with us. There’s something for everyone!” says Cindy Grzyb, reservations manager.

Family-friendly glamping for a deluxe experience

For those who love the idea of camping but prefer the comforts of home, Jellystone Park’s glamping cabins are a perfect choice. These cabins combine the rustic feel of camping with modern amenities to keep you cozy and comfortable during your stay.

Families can choose from several types of family-friendly glamping cabins including triple bunk beds, deluxe lofted cabins and wheelchair-accessible options. Sleeping up to eight people, these cabins are an excellent choice for larger families or groups.

The Yogi Bear Deluxe Cabins, for example, feature three bedrooms, including a variety of bed configurations to suit different family needs. “Yogi Bear Deluxe Cabins are very popular and fill up fast,” says Grzyb. “We recommend booking these far in advance of your stay.”

For a slightly smaller group, the Cindy Bear Cabin and Boo Boo Basic Cabin provide cozier but still comfortable settings. These cabins are equipped with essential amenities, making them ideal for extended stays.

Expanding the Jellystone glamping experience

New this year are the Skydeck cabins, what Grzyb refers to as Jellystone’s elite cabin experience. These deluxe cabins, slated to be available later this summer, are highly anticipated to become a significant upgrade in Jellystone’s glamping experience. They are also ADA accessible.

“The full-size kitchen with modern appliances, a dining area and multiple TVs ensures that guests can live, cook and entertain just as they would at home,” says Grzyb.

Grzyb notes that the luxury extends to the details, with the cabins providing linens, cooking and eating utensils. “When you stay in the Skydeck, all you need to bring is yourself.”

Each Skydeck cabin is equipped with a screened porch that includes a fireplace, creating a cozy environment where up to eight guests can relax and enjoy the surrounding nature. In addition, these cabins offer second-floor decks for scenic views and relaxation.

Insider tip: “Stay tuned to our website and social media channels for updates on when the Skydeck Cabins will become available,” says Grzyb.

Seasonal and community camping

Jellystone Park encourages longer stays with its seasonal site options from May through mid-October. Seasonal campers enjoy unlimited access to the park’s amenities. This option is ideal for families looking to immerse themselves in the Jellystone experience.

“We have families who have met at our seasonal camp sites and they now return every year at the same time so they can be together,” says Grzyb. “It’s a real sense of community.”

Insider tip: Engaging in themed weekends, like the popular Christmas in July weekend, adds a special twist to your family’s camping experience.

Beyond camping: activities and community amenities

Jellystone Park Camp-Resort is packed with activities and amenities that go beyond family-friendly glamping and camping. The park features a new Recreation Center, plus the Water Zone and Bear Paw Adventure Park. Whether it’s cooling off in the water park, enjoying a meal at the Pic-a-Nic Basket, or exploring the high ropes course, there’s no shortage of fun for children and adults alike, says Grzyb.

“If you are staying in one of our glamping cabins or enjoying one of our rustic tent sites, you can find snacks and food, shopping, WiFi and daily activities all around the park. You can have the best of both worlds.”

Families can also rent golf carts to navigate the large park easily and pet-friendly options ensure that even furry family members can join in on the adventure. “Book your golf cart when you make your reservation,” suggests Grzyb. “They go quickly!”

Insider tip: Don’t miss renting a private cabana at Bear Paw Beach for a special family day by the water. Early reservations are recommended.
