It hasn’t taken long for the new management to make an impact at one of Steuben County’s most popular family campgrounds.
Hickory Hill Camping Resort was recently named the winner of the Best Family-Friendly Campground and Best Glamping/Rental Accommodations categories in the first-ever Best of Camp New York Awards, a camper-voted recognition celebrating the top campgrounds across New York state.
Hickory Hill is nestled in the Finger Lakes at 7531 county Route 13, just north of the village of Bath.
The Best of Camp New York Awards highlight excellence in outdoor hospitality. Thousands of campers cast their votes during the 2025 season, nominating their favorite destinations in a variety of categories.

“Winning both of these awards is a true testament to our team’s dedication and passion for outdoor hospitality,” said Alan Lehman, Campground Manager at Hickory Hill Camping Resort. “We take great pride in offering experiences that bring families together and showcase the very best of camping in the Finger Lakes.”
The awards are hosted by Camp New York and Campground Owners of New York, the official association representing independently owned and operated campgrounds in New York state.
Hickory Hill was reacquired by its longtime owners, the Lehman family, in 2024 after a five-year hiatus. Earlier this year, a new generation of family ownership took over operations of the park as Andrew and Andrea Lehman moved back to the area.
