Indore: Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Board is contemplating to add new glamping sites and adventure activities in the state, a move aimed at attracting more footfalls at tourist locations.
New glamping sites may come up in Mandu, Orchha, Tamia and Amarkantak in the near term as tourism board is mulling over options to add recreational and adventure activities at potential locations across the state.
“We will try to add more glamping sites like Orchha, Mandu, Tamia and Amarkantak along with annual fests and many more immersive and adventure activities,” tourism and culture principal secretary, Sheo Shekhar Shukla said.
“Glamping sites are a new attraction for tourists where multiple activities and leisure options are available. We have seen a gradual increase in footfall of tourists at Hanuwantiya, especially in winters and on long holidays,” event organizer at Hanuwantiya and Chanderi tent city, Hiteshwar Singh said.
“We have added all weather tents in Gandhi Sagar to accommodate tourists in all weather. Such glamping sites make a good tourist spot,” event organiser at Kuno and Gandhi Sagar, Sanjeev Saxena said.
