TARUMIZU, Kagoshima Prefecture–A cafe at a luxury glamping site has opened at Miyawaki Kaigan Koen seaside park here, ahead of two mobile home-type accommodations set to start housing guests in early October.

The Thousand Garden Tarumizu was developed by Denken, a Tarumizu-based company and the parks designated administrator.

“Its charms include a view of Kinko Bay, evening scenery and food,” said Denken President Izumi Sanose. “We want to promote it at home and abroad and make it into a new sightseeing base in Tarumizu.”

The site mainly consists of the cafe and administration building and the two accommodations, each of which is 12 meters long and 4.8 meters wide.

The cafe section opened in early August, equipped with an observation deck and a rooftop terrace.

Customers can dine as they enjoy a commanding view of the sea nearby and Mount Kaimondake in Ibusuki, also in Kagoshima Prefecture, in the distance.

It is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

They can also use an outdoor barbecue area for 5,500 yen ($39) each, including food ingredients.

Meanwhile, each accommodation will be limited to one group per night. The rate will start at 25,000 yen per person, including two meals.
