From hiking and walking to railroad trips and biking routes, there are countless ways to immersive oneself within fall foliage. Here’s one more: staying within nature through glamping. While summertime is often a booking season for glamping resorts, staying at these spots in autumn can be really spectacular.
Here are some resorts across the United States to consider glamping at during the fall season.
This rural Your Glamping Adventure property is based in central Tennessee and is about an hour and a half drive to Center Hill Lake, a reservoir known for its waterfalls and various recreation opportunities.
The accommodations at this glamping resort consists of domes, each with an open-faced front and back and an adjacent outdoor living space. Amenities include heating and AC, a full bathroom and a kitchen area.
Nestled among New Hampshire’s White Mountains, this family-run business marks its second season in 2023 with its rustic glamping village. The layout of this boutique property consists of an assortment of custom-built homes, cabins and treehouses.
Each cabin is a deluxe hotel-style bedroom with a full private bathroom and shower, complete with heat and AC, linens, a Nespresso maker, a mini fridge, a kitchenette, a fire pit, a picnic table and a vinyl record player. The staff office has a library of LPs for borrow that guests can grab upon check-in.
At the onsite and year-round open winery, guests can taste ciders and natural wines made from grapes grown three miles away. Or they can head for a ride on the Conway Scenic Railroad, which passes by the property and heads into Crawford Notch.
This hospitality brand, founded by French couple Céline and Philippe Bossanne, has properties in four states—New Hampshire, (southern) Maine, New York and (southern) California. Huttopia’s location camps are noted for being designed to make camping more approachable while not disturbing nature. (Note: They will be shutting down for the 2023 season on October 15.)
